help!!		 can I use a Sprint Motorola Q on the Verizon network?

A friend of mine recently updated to a Blackberry and gave me her Motorola Q, but she is with Sprint, and I'm with Verizon. Can I transfer my number to this phone through Verizon so that I can use it?
I know I'd have to get Verizon to "program" it, but just want to make sure it's possible. 2  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

My guess is no. I have been told by cell companies in the past that each carrier has a unique chipset that allows their phones to function on their network 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
