Motorola Q Software
The Motorola Q runs the smartphone edition of the Windows Mobile 5 operating system. There are hundreds, if not thousands of 3rd party applications that extend the use of your smartphone. There are some applications that are freeware and several are of the commercial variety. Commericial applications often allow for a free trial period to test the software.
Software for the Motorola Q can be found at places such as the Everything Q Software Store, Handango, CoolSmartPhone and others.
Software categories include:
If you are looking for mapping software for the Q, check out Virtual Earth for Mobile. You can also download a Windows Mobile version of Google Maps at www.google.com/gmm
If you are looking for a RSS Reader or for new video, music and podcast downloaded daily, check out Hubdog. It is the coolest software available for Windows Mobile Today and it is compatible with widescreen Q.
Or, to keep track of your bank balance with every debit card swipe, try Bankarama.

I saw someone posted a message about google maps.
I was having trouble following some threads in other sites about the gps and Gmaps. I went to google and simply downloaded the google mobile maps and it works great. As soon as it was installed i went to MENU and use GPS and there it was . The whole process took about 10 mins. Sonoferin

As a new user (just finding my way around this awesome site!), I thought I'd add this tibit: I was easily able to download and use Google Maps on my Q by entering www.google.com/gmm in my browser and then downloading the client. Works like a charm...
Hope this helps! |
